Let me get your attention: 850+ loft down, Gore Windstopper, all at just 16 oz. I'm not sure that I even need to go any further than that. On cold, windy, dry days- this is the jacket to own. I'm guessing that you are already familiar with WM sleeping bags - so just imagine walking around all day in that - and I'm not talking about a Snuggie here! When backpacking - I can get it to pack down into a Small stuff sack - so weight and volume are not an issue. You even get your choice of Red or Black. I have gotten caught in a light drizzle - and since its DWR - water just beads right up! Stop whining about getting your down wet!!! Elastic cuffs help seal out the cold and make for a fantastic fit, and zippered insulated pockets keep those digits warm. Oh and talk about versatility - if you dont have multiple WM sleeping bags - you can use this to push your bag several degrees. You can wear it in your bag as a jacket, or wad it up in the footbox, or slip your legs into it like pants - with the back of the jacket covering your core. Ok I got to stop - or I am going to buy another one.
