Horseshoe Canyon Ranch

Horseshoe Canyon Ranch is considered by many to be one of the best kept secrets of climbing in the Midwest. Located only three miles away from Kyles landing and the Buffalo River, HCR is unquestionably one of the Ozarks most unique attractions. While HCR's primary purpose is to entertain visiting families with various "Ranch" activities (shooting, horseback riding, floating, steak diners, etc.), it is better know among the Ozarks natives for its worldclass frisbie golf courses, climbing, camping, and bouldering. Catch one of HCR's many climbing rendesvous, disc-golf tournaments, or concerts.

Camping: Camping on the property is generally off limits during the peak "guest" season (Aprox. May through mid September). Not to worry; if you have a group you can rent the TeePee or just bust over to Kyle's Landing (about 10 minutes away) for the night. In the off season (the climbing season), you can camp anywhere in the designated camping areas for $5 a night, or rent a luxurious cabin (room for 8-10) for around $70 a night!

Fees: There is a drop box for camping, climbing, and Disc Golf fees. Generally around $5 per event.

Why Dynamic Earth Exists

There is an overwelming need within all of us to experience new things. To immerse ourselves in new experience and find our self and soul a bit better becasue of it. We find that being outside, and immersed in the natural world is a way of doing that. In many ways, nature is a playground for man and not nearly a template for industry and further developement. Many people find it hard to achieve this immersion in nature due to a lack of knowledge, direction, or supplies. We exist to fill this void.
